Unipod & RISC OS 3.7

Unipod & RISC OS 3.7

Post by Chris Evan » Wed, 26 Sep 2007 01:35:21

Brand new unipod with RISC OS 3.70 gives me the following problem:

left click on iconbar icon o.k. but click menu on HD icon, then click on HD
icon you get the message "Please insert disc 'xxx'" where xxx is the name of
the HD. Trying to continue leads to a slow crash of the entire machine

All the modules are several years old so I can't see how a fault could have
developed but we can repeat the problem with two UniPods:-(

Any ideas?

I haven't been able to get through to STD.

1. How to configure network on RiscPC 700 / RISC OS 3.7 ?

2. How do you install RISC OS 3.70 ?

Hi there,

Well I've gotten a CDROM onto my RiscPC now (ye olde 18x Creative Labs)
and installed FancyBoot from
http://www.yqcomputer.com/ (superb site
for the "newbie" RiscPC owner like me .. Thanks! :-)

Now I want to know how I can install all the rest of the 3.70 RISC OS I
downloaded from http://www.yqcomputer.com/

Where do unzip them to ?
What is that "Merge the !System" thing all about in !Boot ?

And an off topic question, what speed does an iCubed network podule
(that the right term ?) connect ot a LAN at ? I'm guessing 10Mbit, but
full or half duplex ? Does it autosense ?
