Interesting. The contents (orthographic and otherwise) of your post
would suggest otherwise.

Hmm, how long before I add `posting.google.com' to my kill-file, I wonder...

You have been in my 'junk' file for a few months because you occasionally
post some useful stuff in amongst the "Oh look at me! What a clever chap I
am!". Time to kill file you permanently.

Why don't you ask CJE Micros to sell you a set of RISC OS 3.6 ROMs and then
get someone to send you a ROM image, when we've got proof that you own said
ROMs? Technically, as long as you've got the ROMs, you should (theoretically)
be able to legally use a ROM image. Standard disclaimer applies - I am not a
lawyer, your mileage may vary.
RISC OS 3.71 ROMs are a bit like the proverbial rocking horse manure. 3.71
was the last (stable) version of RISC OS to be released in the form of ROMs
by Acorn.

That's fine. You can have all the help you want if you do it legally but
you have failed to understand the nature of the Risc OS community.

The majority of programmers work on their own or in companys with no more
than three or four people - often family businesses. We know most of them
by name - no faceless "helpdesk" here - you pick up the 'phone and talk to
the guy who wrote the program. They're our mates and you DON'T *** YOUR
MATES. We have respect for each other here.

If that makes us lame, deaf and dumb asses, OK we're lame, deaf and dumb
asses but what does that make you?

Stuart.

In article < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >,

Sadly you appear to be under the illusion that someone round here will
supply you a set of pirate ROM images.

This might be common in the PC world where morals are low but in the RISCOS
world people tend not to pirate software.

As someone else has said we know many of the software authors and regard
them as mates. Since it's normally the case that you don't *** your mates
we go with the flow and behave properly.

If you need a set of 3.7 ROM images then the cheapest method is to buy a
cheap RISC PC base unit and copy the ROMs to an image set.
Run on a new *FAST* PC the emulator will probably out perform the original
RPC you copied them from.
