LCD Monitor in RISC OS 3.7

Post by dave » Thu, 19 Feb 2009 20:16:59

My RiscPC has arrived. All seems to be working well and I have sorted
out the networking but my monitor is causing issues. I have a BenQ
FP731 which is capable of 1280x1024. Using some of the default
monitors such as AKF85 is getting me this mode but is a bit flickery.
I know there is something called !MakeModes, is that what I need to
use? I have loaded it up but seems a little daunting!!

Yes, !MakeModes is not so easy to use. Have a look on this site where you
can find a whole collection of monitor definitions which might produse a
better output:

If you can track down a copy of !CustomRPC, I found this much easier to
use :)

Try here: http://www.yqcomputer.com/

Thanks guys! People are so much more helpful in the RISC OS world than
on the other side!! :)
I decided to grapple with MakeModes and after downloading the manual
from BenQ, I managed to find the required information. Thanks for the
tips guys, I tried CustomRPC but couldn't get that to work either!
