Omniclient identifing filetypes incorrectly

I am running Omniclient to access some binary files (file.jar). It is
identifying them as text files, which seems to result in them being
corrupted when sent via email.

I have added the line

jar,&ddc to the file !Omni.Files.Extensions but this does not fix it.

Any suggestions?

I'm having problems with this - it was working fine. If I go to one of my
shared PC directories that loads as usual on the iconbar, but trying to
open it gets 'Error when reading LanMan:: Share.$ - Timeout.'

*Isn't it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do "practice?"
