Legato backup service causes .NET application to stop

Does anyone else have problems with .NET applications stopping after a
backup service runs.

We have Legato do a full backup on weekends on our servers. We have a
windows forms application running in a logged on session on the server. The
app runs 24 hours a day. Internally it has a while loop which does some
things followed by a sleep. We found that after the Legato backup runs,
the application enters the sleep call but never returns. This never
happened on our win 2000 servers, but it does happen on our win 2003
servers.

Thread.Sleep hangs is about 2 or 3 minutes after Logical Disk Manager
Administrative Service stops. (This is a windows server 2003 machine and we
never had this problem on a windows 2000 server machine). If this is caused
by the Logical Disk Manager Administrative Service stopping, we don't know
why its stopping or what a work around would be.

We can corrolate our application *** with the following event log entry:

Event Type: Information
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7036
