Hi
I am new to amiga world. I have an A00 and I intend to
buy a more expandable amiga system. What do you
propose. An A2000 or an A3000 system? What is the
differences betwen the 2 of them. Please note that I want
to use a svga monitor if it is possible.
thanks again
john

a2000 or a3000?

Hi,

Take both :-)

Sorry ;-)
It's better to take an Amiga 3000.
First you can use a vga-monitor without a graphics card. Thats
enough for the beginning.
THe amiga 3000 has zorro III slots.
It has an 68030er processor and there is an expansion port to
increase the cpu speed up to ppc-cards...

The A2000 has only zorry II Slots, you need a seperate video card
to connect to a vga-monitor and the fastest cpu is an 68060 with
50 Mhz. That's all...
Of course, an A2000 with graphics card(P IV), network and
soundcard is very nice to have :-)

Enjoy

Regards
Andre

If I were you I go for A4000 with scandoubler/flickerfixer or graphics
card.
Youl find a lot of them second hand for almost no money.
I picked up one here in norway for about 100 euro.
In germany and the UK I bet you can find one for less.

I wish I could find an A4000. I live in greece and these machines
are extremely rare here. My only hope is ebay but the postage
would be huge.
thanks anyway

There's a heavily loaded A4000 with PPC604 and 060 for sale in Athens. Send
an email to XXXX@XXXXX.COM and ask for details.
