A1200 internal scan doubler/flicker fixer?

I have given up on my search for a new VGA monitor with 15kHz
horizontal sync and have decided to purchase a scan doubler/flicker
fixer for my A1200. I have found an external one, but is there such a
thing as an internal scan doubler/flicker fixer for a standard A1200
without resorting to a tower mod?

I've come across a couple video wall monitors but need to invert the
composit sync signal. tried with a TTL 7804 chip but it didn't work and
I haven't had the time to explore it further. These monitors can have
different inputs but this is analog RGB at 15.? kHz

the down side is that it may flicker and I don't know about the quality,
but you might keep an eye out for such a monitor (used) as these are 27"

I bought one from Power Computing in July 1999 that I think would fit
inside the case, though of course it would require some modification
to the case to get the VGA connector out. I can't find any
documentation for it so I couldn't tell you who made it.

There were some but whether they are still avail I'm not sure. Try checking on
Eyetech's site. The internal SD/FF fits onto the clock header so I'm not too
sure if you'd be able to jam it inside the normal A1200 case. However, IIRC
there were reports that the internal SD/FFs were not as good as the external
ones due to their intercepting the signals at an earlier stage which meant that
some software/games fall down. The external models by virtue of working on the
normal output signal could allow this to be passed through so everything worked,

Couldn't you take the vga connector out the blanking plate behind the FDD?
Failing that you could just let the vga's connector cable lie between the two
halves of the A1200 casing and lightly *** it back together - If you don't
intend to move it a lot then there shouldn't be any real problem. (I once did
this with a HDD which worked flawlessly for a couple of years in such a
situation till I towered up that A1200). If you are worried about crimping the
cable then a small bit of filing to the plastic casing should provide the
necessary gap.

The cable is only just long enough to reach that hole. So it would
work if I put some holes in the blanking plate and screwed the
connector to it, but otherwise any attempt to connect a monitor to
it is likely to push the connector back into the case.

That's what I was thinking would be necessary.
