Marpet and Power Computing Memory Upgrades?

Marpet and Power Computing Memory Upgrades?

Post by Thomas Wel » Mon, 30 Jun 2003 21:52:10

Hi all,

Can anyone out there supply me with a copy of the installation manuals for
the Marpet Xtra Ram upgrade and the Power Computing 4mb upgrades for the ST.
Or point me to a website with details of how to install them. I did it on a
ST years ago but the chips are different in the two machines I now want to
upgrade (I think the soldering irons going to have to come out). Thanks for
any help...

2. Power Computing PowerBase 200 power problem

Greetings from Cape Town

I've been given a Power Computing PowerBase 200. Pushing the power button on
the front of the tower, or the power key on the keyboard, makes the computer
switch on for a fraction of a second (it starts to chime, and the fan just
spins), then all is dead. Is this a faulty power supply, and if so, can I
use a normal PC power supply, or are the connectors on the PowerBase funny?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Murray
