Session Limit exceeded: What counts towards your license limit?

Gentle Listers:

Performing due diligence, can anyone explain to myself, what I think I know and what is correct is sometimes very different, how HP determines that your limit is reached- I know that Jobstreams don't count- what about ODBC/JDBC connections through a network, i.e. threads? Sessions count. FTP counts....

Wondering in Tacoma, I remain

Yours truly,

Session Limit exceeded: What counts towards your license limit?

As I understand it

All direct-connections except console (all DTC connections)
and network sessions (logons via Telnet or NSVT) count against
your userlimit.

All other connections are limited by the configured maximum ports
or entries; namely, RPM sessions, RFA, other NS connections,
ftp, ODBC, and other socket connections.
