Outmoded Root File?

Outmoded Root File?

Post by Jim Philli » Fri, 11 Jul 2003 22:01:35

I've been doing some data base changes to a particular
data base. I used Adager to transform the data base
on our production machine with no problems. Then I
stored the data base to tape and restored it to our
test system. After this, when I try to open the data
base with Query, I get "Outmoded root file".

What is Query trying to tell me and how can I fix it?

Outmoded Root File?

I finally found the Query manual on docs.hp and it
says:

The data base root file was created using a different
version of the IMAGE software. Current QUERY software
is not compatible with this file.

Now, seeing as how these two systems are identical
(Same O/S and same Image versions - as verified via
the version command in Query), I presume something in
the root file is whacked.

I hate it when that happens... :-(
