ControlStyles::Selectable doesn't seem to work on ListView

Post by cm9iaW50d » Thu, 14 Jun 2007 17:39:00

Hi,

I am making a custom control derived from System::Windows::Forms::ListView,
and I want to make it so that it cannot get focus. Apparently to do that I
use the SetStyle method to set ControlStyles::Selectable to true. This
doesn't seem to have any effect though.

Does anyone know why this is? And if there's nothing that can be done about
this, is there another way to stop focus coming to my control?

Regards,

Robin

How about setting it to false...?

None. I was hoping that you really had made such a silly error in your code,
but alas it was just a typo.

May I ask why you don't want your control to receive focus? That will be a
very non-standard thing. I know if I were using your program I'd be saying
"Why the hell can't I USE this thing?" and mumbling things like "Stupid
programmer." (Really, I would. I do it all the time, even with my own
stuff!)
