Whoopee.................. !!!!

Another Steam game to avoid........

I shall enjoy playing the original Sin plus expansion... while
the suckers nuzzle up to the cow on loan ( for a price) from
Valve.

In another Q&A Ritual alluded to the inevitability that all the
Episodes will be bundled up and sold in a retail package. If you want
to stick it out another year and plunk down $60 for Sin Episodes:
Emergence Gold that's cool.

No doubt still with the Valve/Steam umbilical, just like the HL
Anthology...........

Sorry, I'll pass on the Gold and play my originals ( plus patches )
of both Sin and HL1 (plus all add-ons ). Ritual and Valve
can take a hike. Episodic games have proven to be failures
in the past.. let's hope this is another one, helped along down
the slope by Steam.

do normal retail pc games sell all with a 60 dollar price?
you know as well as i do the asnwer is no

is Quake 4 sold with a 60 dollars price? obviously no!
cause of the retail competition you can already get Quake 4
with a very competitive price way bellow the 40 dollar range
and give it 6 months you will find it below 20 dollars
and with the added bonus Quake 4 being a fantastic game and
not having any abusive technologies and does not require the
cd/dvd inserted to play

as for the sin sequel, i don't even mind waiting a year and
paying a premium for a retail dvd version but i only ask it
to be steamless
no steam please, it is the only think i'm asking for
look at hl2, one year as already passed and they still don't
let people buy it and play it without steam no matter what
price we are whilling to give and believe me a lot of us would
pay 60 bucks only to be able to buy hl2 with no steam

mattchu became a google statistic earlier when he frothed:

What a joke. The internet is getting more & more diluted with *** web
sites. I love this (precis)

Lickspittle : "Hi man, we all love you. Tell us, your fans, what is your
responsibility on the super Kewl new Sin episodes?"
A.N.Employee : "Err, actually I'm not even on the project".

Bwahaha.

It'd be nice to have the first episode released for free for us to try. You
know, kind of like what they used to do using shareware system(that was
wonderful idea!)... If it was really good, we'd buy the subsequent episode,
like we did for Doom and Duke3D...

In article < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >,
XXXX@XXXXX.COM says...

Well here in slovenia it costs 70 dollars and in one year its still
gonna cost 70 dollars. And did I mention the wages are lower here? :)

HL2 cost me 50 dollars on release day. Funny enough i didnt have any
problems with steam even on the first day.

If you dont like steam fine, dont buy the games and just please shut the
*** up because none of us cares about it. You dont see me crying about
starforce protected games now do you. I just quietly boycott them and
thats it.

It will very happily and fast on my fully depreciated 6-year-old

in Australia, even more backwater than Slovenia, we pay $99 per game, after
1 year the game will cost $50, then in the bargain bin $20 but if the game
still exists because if it didn't sell well enough they send it back.
there's not enough room on the PC shelves for older games unless EA classics
re-release it.
