New Source Engine Multiplayer FPS

Apparently it's called "Left 4 Dead" (what a naff name) and is being
built on the Source Engine

I'm pretty sure this is going to be multiplayer only so maybe it won't
appeal to so many people.

The official site is at http://www.yqcomputer.com/
contains next to nothing.

There is more about it at 3dgamers
http://www.yqcomputer.com/
short teaser movie http://www.yqcomputer.com/

I don't have any other links so apologies in advance to non 3dgamers
subscribers.

Whoops - sorry Rob. Missed this post and started another one.
Reference multiplayer I believe you can play this on your own with AI
team-mates and opponents. Looks like intense action and fun and IMHO
best played with friends on a LAN.

I hope so, I'd hate to miss out on a survival/horror game altogether.
There are times when I can play with friends and family, but they're
quite infrequent and sometimes I like my own company to be honest.

I've always enjoyed co-op more than DM, TDM or CTF. You're right about
the LAN being best. Equal ping, no lag and nobody having an advantage
just because they're hosting.

When I used to play Codename: Outbreak a lot, nobody except the host
could kill the worker grubs that crawled out of the eggs (the patch
made it a little better but not much). Sometimes you had eight or ten
of the blasted things following you around everywhere biting chunks
out of you.

Good times, I must admit.
