First of I just want to make it clear that my question shouldn't be
interpreted as me preferring sequels over newer and innovative games.
However, for the sake of discussion just a few off my head: 1. Deus Ex.
Since DE IW was such a dissapointment, DE3 would be a great oppurtunity to
for the game developers to redeem themselves.
2. Noone Lives For Ever. Both great games with the first having an edge in
my opinion. It's too bad they stopped at 2. A third one would be nice. I
know that someone is going to mention "Contract Jack" but that is considered
to be a prequel.
3. Max Payne, although there has been a rumor awhile back on this NG about
an MP3.

I think its rare for a game to go beyond 2nd without wearing out its basic
ideas.
The ones I'd think on would be those that have not had a sequel at all yet.
FARCRY ....SUMMONER 2 for the PC (its been out n gone years ago on the
consoles only)

....I suppose I might just allow another THIEF 4 ...better be good / perfect
tho.
In this next one Garrett gets to sneak , plot, & steal from one Sam Fisher
..
Winner gets to get the Girl Lara Croft from her *** Witches run castle
imprisonment.
Together they then have to find an artifact chalice which is the power of
Sleeping USA Socialism.
The final mission involves poring the chalices contents over Ultra
Conservative Sam Fisher.
They then live in content Democratic 3 way Love Triangle .

MAFIA - I hope everyone reading this has played the game at least once. OK
so it wasn't perfect but no other mobster game comes close. Not really sure
how a sequel will tie in with the original story, maybe have a parallel
character who joins Morellos gang and play it from their POV or play the
role of the cops chasing the mobsters.

I'd like to see a sequel of one of my all-time favorites: RtCW (Return
to Castle Wolfenstein). A couple of years ago RtCW2 was announced, but
the only news I find about it say that it won't be published in 2007. So
I have to wait.

Outlaws. About time a qaulity 1st person western was made, especially with a
good chicken model ;-)

Can't think of any FPSs - they seem to cross fertilize ideas pretty
quickly. I'd love a sequel to Tornado, and maybe one to Longbow 2.

NOLF 3 would be good.

3 is one of the best games I have ever played. It is a gem amongst cowpats.

Without a doubt the worst use of the Unreal engine ever. Never completed
it. Buggy. Repetitive. Bored me to tears.
