Strange I haven't heard anything here about this as yet. *** y ratings &
the almighty dollar! Makes me sick when so much trash has survived past 4
seasons. Epguides has it as the 6th May. Anyway, FWIW, here's an online
petition to stop the cancellation:

You actually like Enterprise? I watched the first season, but it seemed
very trite and "wanna be," that I just never got into it....

On that note, I think part of the problem is Scott Bakula...I like him
as an actor, but he was too Quantum Leapy in Enterprise...

Did you like STNG the first season? Especially with ensemble casts it
takes a while for them to get good sometimes.

Of course CSI is just getting worse and worse lately so...

Maybe Sci-Fi will pick it up. They saved Stargate and it seems to be
going strong.

I, on the other hand, dislike him intensely. I never liked QL much,
either.

I did like some of Enterprise's crew. Dr Flox, Hoshi, and Malcolm, in
particular. I watched the show regularly for the first couple of
seasons, but very few of the eps had the m *** quandaries which made ST
(and to a lesser degree, TNG) feel special. The one where the captain
and the doctor clash regarding the fates of two intelligent races living
on the same planet felt the most like classic Trek to me.

Now THAT is a good SF show. Season 7's eps have been below usual
quality, though.

S1 was ok, S2 was sucky, S3 was damn good, and S4 (currently running)
looks like it's carrying on the trend of improvement.

The damage has been done, though...

Just got through S5 and S6 on DVD and enjoyed them. I am a bit
disappointed that it seems as if the dropped Jonas Quinn from most
episodes in favour of Daniel Jackson in S7.

They have, yes. Suits me, though. Although I was gradually warming to
Jonas, I much prefer the original crew and Daniel was one of my
favorites.

If Sci-Fi had the money to save a series, I'd rather see them revive Firefly
or Futurama.

I thought of the original Starbuck when I first read that.

Bummer it's on at 10pm in my timezone. An annoyance. I've only
seen one episode (I think the first of the series), but I thought
it was phenomenally well done.

I liked the guy. He was a different type of nerd to Daniel. I'm sure
they coulda found a way to accomodate both of them. Actually, I've
just seen episode 1 of Atlantis and think that show would have been
tailor made for him.
