You Know Why PC Mags Like The Mac?

Because the Mac is a PC now! Yep, it's PC hardware now. The PC vs. Mac
war is over. The only real hadware wars these days are between AMD and Intel
and Nvidia and ATI(AMD). The real battlefield is the one OSes fight on.

And it's the Mac OS that the PC mags prefer...

Always has been... since before Windows. But PC Mag generally focuses on
Windows... so it is pretty cool when they recognize Macs.

I am sure you think you made a point. Oh well.

Please, beg borrow or steal a new record. The one you've been playing
the past few years is all worn out - and it's only got two(?) tracks...

What a champion of the completely obvious Slade is. When the editor of PC
magazine recently said that the Mac was better than the PC, he was comparing
the OSes NOT the HARDWARE. The PC Magazine editor never ONCE mentioned the
hardware because its not about hardware. All that the fact that Mac and PCs
use the same processor family now means is that the hardware has become
totally irrelevant and has given the two platforms, finally, a really level
playing field for comparison. When the field is level, Windows looks worse
every day while the Mac looks better, and honest, knowledgeable observers of
the computer scene have NOTICED that. We Mac users have been telling you
poor, benighted Wintrolls who post here that the Mac is better for years. Now
the entire computer community is telling you the same thing yet you remain in
denial. That's what makes you the fools that you are.

So, in one post, you champion the idea everyone agrees with (that Macs
have always been PCs, and are now just the best of the breed) and that
the difference is in the OS.
Like everyone has been saying all along, except you seem to think you
just shared an epiphanic moment.

The difference has ALWAYS been about the OS, John.
It has rarely been about differences in the hardware -- and those
differences were just in the selection of parts, not in the idea that
the parts were different from what Windows was built on.

Why do you continue to step backward onto this same argument, time
after time? It's like you still insist it's a big deal, and that it has
some backhanded meaning beyond what you are saying.
