I'm on a G5. I've read charges and counter charges as to what you can
and cannot use. Any place I can go to get a definite answer? Thanks

Not to be a smart-ass, but http://www.yqcomputer.com/
technical information.

Also, page 74 of the Setup Guide that came with your machine has the
info. The normal SuperDrive is DVD-R.

Cheers!

Thank you for your information. I've only been on my G5 for a few
months and spend my time trying to learn the Mac. Now I'm expanding.
I did go to http://www.yqcomputer.com/ , they
mention specifically only the iMac or iMac and G4. At least, this is
what I found. I have a G5.

A friend of mine set up the G5 for me. He thinks that "anyone over 69
is 'old' and is 'afraid' of these new things called computers". And
now that I have some knowledge in this area, I'm just as determined to
prove him wrong. Your reference to the Setup Guide made me realize that
I still had the box the G5 came in. I found the Setup Guide book there.
We must have different books because page 74 in about 'Working inside
your computer" and how to secure the side panel of the computer. I did
find the information on page 98, Appendix A. Thank you for telling me
about the Guide.
