Powerbook 3500

I have a friend's pb 3500 here and it needs a new hard drive. Any
recomendations for a good fit? I'm looking for something 6gigs or less.
Will any of the IBM travelstars work ok in this computer? How about
Fujitsu or Toshiba? I'll probably be getting one off ebay and I just
need to know what to stay away from. The machine is used for email, web
and word processing.

Thanks,
Tom

virtually any current ata laptop drive will fit fine. it takes a 12mm
drive if i recall, and everything is a 9mm drive these days. it is not
too difficult to swap out either.

Having 3400 which is the same machine with a ppc603ev processor, I have
placed my Pismo Powerbook's (Powerbook G3-Firewire) original 12 GB
travelstar.

Works just fine and the changeout was easy.
