Icebook power adapter cord?

Icebook power adapter cord?

My 3+ yr-old iBook power-adapter cord is starting to wear at the ***
flex, where the cord goes into the lighted metal plug that plugs into
the power-jack on the computer. Is this a common failure-point? This is
the white, squarish adapter (with the Apple logo) that is also used
(with color variations, ims) with some Powerbooks and other Apple
products.

I'll probably give it a coat of liquid- *** on the flex, just to be
safe. IIRC, I had to junk an old PB adaptor for this reason, as it's a
proprietary, non-replaceable plug.

In article < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >,

I gather this isn't a major problem here, but to adjust the karmic
balance, I bonged said jack against a table-leg hard enough to crack the
plastic TOD. A bit of super-glue patched things up fine.
