Building a PB C library for use with CodeWarrior

Building a PB C library for use with CodeWarrior

I'm working on a project, for which another programmer is porting some
network code that I need to call within a CodeWarrior project.

For some reason, he can't get it to build under CW 8.0 because of some
necessary includes (BSD socket stuff -- It uses the frameworks for the
networking.) However, he has it working correctly under Project
Builder as an executible.

Now, we need to build a library using that code that can be included
into a Carbon CW 8.0 project. He's muddled around with PB and can't
figure out how to build a library with the code that will link
properly with the Carbon CodeWarrior project.

Can someone point to some documentation that explains how to build
stand alone libraries in Project Builder? Neither the program nor the
built in help goes into in any sort of detail.

Please email me directly if you can help, at XXXX@XXXXX.COM

Thanks!

In article < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >,

He should be able to build it with CW. What problems does he have?
People here could probably help him get it working. Also, be sure you
are using CW 8.3, not 8.0.

Building a static libary (libXXX.a) should do the trick... I think PB
has stationary for this.
