EXC_BAD_ACCESS in szone_malloc ?

Post by lothar.beh » Tue, 21 Nov 2006 04:41:22

Hi,

what is that for a bug ?

Is the heap corrupted ?

I am using Mac OS X 10.3.9

The bug occures in strdup used in a function to store a static char
array ("some text...") into a structure.
The structure is checked against an overflow and it crashes after the
fourth call to store such information
in that structure.

Could I check the heap before that code ?

How ?

Thanks, Lothar

Open up 'man malloc' and hit the ENVIRONMENT section, you will find a lot
of environment variables you can use to debug the heap as your program
runs.
