Cable and/or Adapter Needed to Connect Monitor to MacBook Pro (AC ADAPTER QUESTION)

Post by adam7 » Mon, 20 Aug 2007 03:54:14

oh yeah, one more thing i forgot to ask. i bought this monitor at a
thrift store. it came with no cables, but there was a bin of AC
adapters, so i grabbed a couple.. i plugged the monitor into the outlet
and it turned on without as hitch. Are all these AC adapters the same or
will the AC adapter I'm using now eventually fry the monitor because it
didn't have the proper specs?

Thanks again,

That monitor appears to be your garden-variety CRT monitor. So I think
the cable to which you refer is a standard three-prong male to three
hole female display power cable. In other words it's not an adapter,
and there are no specifications to match.
