A ceramic resonator (which is what you are looking for) is basically
a poor quartz crystal, and 2 capacitors. So, you should be able to
use most any crystal (which will also be more stable), and 2 capacitors, of
about 18pF to 27pF or so (which go from each crystal leg, to the middle
connection of the ceramic resonator).

Hi Phoebus


Only two of the three "prongs" are connected with the ZX81 ULA. The one
in the middle, and the one next to the extension side. Solder a common
6,55... crystal and try it it works, if not remove R4.
