Hi c.s.t.'ers,

I've been lurking on this group on and off for a little while now. I
was wondering if many or any of you know about the Knowledge Base for
NonStop Support (KBNS)? It's service that is available at no extra
charge to all HP customers with a current support/maintenance contract.

To register for the service, go to ,
click on the Register button and complete the form. Make sure you check
the KBNS box at the bottom.

If you are aware of KBNS, what are your thoughts on it?

We used it many times, and it helps us a lot!
It's great to have it. Unfortunately the individual cases cannot be seen.

I am aware of the KBNS service. I generally use it as one of the
first steps in trying to resolve an issue with a NonStop system. My
guess is that using KBNS can speed resolution and eliminate the need
for a call to the support center about 20 to 30 percent of the time.

On the frustrating side, often I have to manually sift through
incidents that were reported in software years ago and have been fixed
in the release we are currently using. It might be more helpful to be
able to include a range of operating system releases to search.

The mail server is located in California. Please do
not send unsolicited bulk e-mail or unsolicited commercial e-mail to
my address or any of my other addresses. These are my
opinions, not necessarily my employer's.
