## Using different font types in the figure caption and table caption

### Using different font types in the figure caption and table caption

I want to set different font types for the figure caption and table
caption respectively. I use the following command to set font type for
the figure caption:

\renewcommand{\captionfont}{\small\itshape}

But when I use this command, the table caption font and figure caption
font are changed at the same time. How to set different font types for
the figure caption and table caption respectively? Thanks a lot!!

Package caption.

### Using different font types in the figure caption and table caption

I just read the caption package and found that there is no information
on setting different font type for figure and table caption
differently. Would you please kind to tell me exactly how to set this
kind of environment? Thanks in advance!

In article < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >,

So perhaps you should read it more carefully.

\captionsetup[figure]{font=small, it}

### Using different font types in the figure caption and table caption

Thanks a lot! That's very useful!

The problem for me is that I have already used the package caption2.
When I add the package caption into my file, it seems that the package
caption confilicts with caption2 package. How to deal with this
problem?

Thanks!

Joye

### Using different font types in the figure caption and table caption

In article < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >,

make sure you have the latest version.) There is a whole section on
caption2 compatibility (Section 8.2). The basic idea is that you should
switch to caption and reimplement any non-compatible features.
