Most free editing environments for *** can talk with aspell, a spell
checking program. This holds true for AUCTeX
; (which has just seen the
11.50 release), a pretty nice TeX shell running in the Emacs editor.
Within Emacs, you can also use flyspell-mode which will underline all
words in a document that are not considered correct by aspell.
It will benefit your productivity if your editor supports TeX editing
specifically. If you don't want to try Emacs, there are also more
typical Windows applications like TeXniccenter or WinEdt available for
editing and running TeX.
