Hi all,

Please bear with me if this is obvious. I have googled and can't find
a solution.

I'm getting an error with the example tex (attached). I'm using
texlive2005 in Fedora core 5.

You have to use one of the natbib styles, for example plainnat:

\bibliographystyle{plainnat}

will do.
