HELP! Natbib bibliography with date after author

Post by nicholas.c » Sat, 19 Apr 2008 20:24:36

I'm trying to help a friend with a deadline to get her references in
the format her faculty require.

She is currently using

\usepackage{natbib}
\bibpunct{(}{)}{;}{a}{,}{,}

and

\bibliographystyle{plainnat}

Everything in the text is fine, but in the bibliography list, it
currently produces:

S. Black. Homework: the sixth day of instruction. ESR Spectrum, 8:35 41, 1990.

She needs to have the date after the author, in brackets, and the
author surname listed first ie:

Black, R. (1990) Homework: the sixth day of instruction. ESR Spectrum,
8:35 41.

Is there a quick and easy way to achieve this?

Best wishes,

Nicholas

If no-one can point to an existing style that does this, you might take
a look at the custom-bib package, which may be able to create one in
short order.

if you could show me your bibtex-entry, I might be able to provide a
solution since I have a style for Mol. Human Endocrinology where the
final citation list looks very much alike. It would be an advantage if
you could also show an bib-entry with more than three authors and how
that should be treated.
