I installed the powerdot package, but i failed to get pdf output with
some style.
for example, i compiled the powerdot-example2.tex with folowing steps:
latex powerdot-example2.tex
dvips powerdot-example2.dvi
ps2pdf powerdot-example2.ps
ps2pdf failed to get pdf and the error message is:

dvips -Ppdf -G0 powerdot-example2

I cannot reproduce this problem. Further, you seem to have the latest
versions of dvips and ghostscript, which makes me wonder what is happening
here... Maybe an old package? Put \listfiles on the first line of the tex
file, compile, open your log file and search for the file list. Please
compare with mine which is below.

Good luck, best,
-Hendri.

PS: you may want to know that there is a mailinglist especially for
powerdot. See the documentation for the address.

Now the filelist diff result is:
14c14
< hdvips.def 2003/11/30 v6.74m Hyperref driver for dvips
---
26d25
< float.sty 2001/11/08 v1.3d Float enhancements (AL)
29c28
< pifont.sty 2004/01/26 PSNFSS-v9.1b Pi font support (SPQR)
---
33d31
<

But problem remains.

Only ikeda, ciment style will cause this problems, others are well.

PowerDot problem

When trying to run powerdot with some options (including bframe,
default, paintings, etc.) I get error messages like "Class powerdot
error. Unknown style 'bframepaper'....". With some other options line
aggie, elcolors, sailot, etc. I have no problem and *** runs as
expected. Any idea what the reason is?

Thanks

None at all, but:

This error message is generated by the powerdot class, so the best thing
to do to begin with is to check the powerdot class documentation.

Unknown style 'bframepaper' - that indicates there's a problem with your
source file. You said you tried the bframe option - but are you sure
you've got your source file's syntax absolutely correct? Commas
separating each optional argument to powerdot?

Can you provide a minimal example?

Rowland.

Did you forget a comma between "style=bframe" and "paper="?
