You've come to the right place! Here is one way:
Right-click the sheet tab and paste this code into the window that opens:
Private Sub Worksheet_BeforeDoubleClick(ByVal Target As Range, Cancel As
Cancel = True
If Not Intersect(Target, Range("A1:AZ100")) Is Nothing Then
If Target = "P" Then
Target = vbNullString
ElseIf Target = vbNullString Then
Target = "P"
Format cells as Wingdings2
Also, from a recent post by Jacob Skaria (I've learned so much from this guy).
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
If Not Intersect(Target, Range("A2:A100")) Is Nothing Then
If Target.Count = 1 Then
Target.Font.Name = "Marlett"
Target.Value = IIf(Target.Value = "r", "e", "r")
'Target.Value = IIf(Target.Value = "a", "e", "a") 'For tick mark
That will give you an X, not a check, but you may find a use for it
nevertheless...and it is very cool too...
