system('mkdir') VS php mkdir ?

Post by Rick [Kitt » Tue, 04 May 2004 10:00:31

Have been trying to use php mkdir to make some dirs, however when I try to
create an already existing dir I get a broken connection error

However, using system('mkdir....') seems to work perfectly

What are the pro's & cons of sticking to an all php approach?

The golden rule for this is to use php functions instead of system, exec or
equal calls, because these calls generate more overhead and native php
functions are more efficient.
