Guys -

I have expect-5.43 and tcl8.3.5. After configure script, I run make
and get the following error message:

gcc -c -I. -I. -I/tmp/tcl8.3.5/generic -DEXP_VERSION=\"5.43.0\"
-DSCRIPTDIR=\"/usr/local/lib/expect5.43\"
-DEXECSCRIPTDIR=\"/usr/local/lib/expect5.43\" -DTCL_DE ***
-DUSE_NON_CONST -DSTTY_BIN=\"/bin/stty\" -DDFLT_STTY="\"sane\""
Dbg.c
Dbg.c:13: tcldbgcf.h: No such file or directory
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `Dbg.o'

Does someone know how to cope with it? Do I really need tcldbgcf.h and
where can I get it ? Thank you.

tcldbgcf.h is generated when you run configure. make distclean and
rerun configure. It should be apparent when it's creating it. If
not, post the output from "make distclean;configure"

Thank you very much, Don! I found another solution (installed
precompiled stuff). I work on Solaris 9, and the corressponding
package is included into disc-companion. I had to check it before
posting :( Tnank you again!

By the way, there were another difficulties with configure. For
instance, my system didn't understand ${CC-cc} until I changed it to
$CC.

Either your /bin/sh is broken or your system is ignoring the #! line.
I've seen the former thing happen when system administrators make sh a
link to bash or other creative solutions.
