Outlook 2007 - Exchange 2003. Public Folder Oddity

Post by TmV3dG9FeH » Wed, 27 Aug 2008 00:34:01

Hello,

We're running Exchange 2003 Server. In one of our public folders (a Rolodex
type folder) I'm having users mention that they have called up records,
changed the "File-As" type on a record to another format, and Save the
change. The record appears fine until the next day when the "File-As" type
returns to the old format for said records.

For example: File as: Smith, John. The user changes it to File As: The
ABC Co. Smith, John. (A valid choice in the drop down list provided by
exchange.)

The record will appear as The ABC Co. Smith, John but only for one day.

The public folder is a moderated folder, but it appears Edits do not get
moderated. (Only new entries are sent to the moderator.) So I don't think
this has anything to do with the inconsistancies, but wanted to mention it.

Thanks in Advance!

D

Are users caching public folder favorites and are these folders in pf
favorites? If so, the changes my not be getting pushed back to the server.

I'm not sure if those folders are specficaly cached or not. They do connect
to Exchange via Cached mode, but changes to e-mails and contacts data is
working fine. It just seems to be the "File As" Data.
