I am using Outlook 2003 with comcast.net. I have been able to send and
receive without any problems. Yesterday it stopped receiving emails. I am
able to send. When I hit the send/receive button nothing happens, when I try
to setup groups it doesn't do anything. Thanks.

Could you turn on diagnostic logging (see
http://www.yqcomputer.com/ ;en-us;Q300479) and post
the OPMLog.log file after you try to send?

Jeff, I did that and searched for the file and was unable to find anything.
when I hit send/receive nothing happens, there is no message on the bottom
right, yet, when I write and email and send it, it gives me the message that
it is sending message 1 of 1.

The file should be under %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Temp, which is a
hidden folder. Open Windows Explorer and enter the above path in the
Address field and click Go.

Your log file shows a send but no attempt whatsoever to perform a receive.
Click Tools>Options>Mail Setup>Send/Receive. Select your Send/Receive group
and click Edit. Make sure "Include the selected account in this group" is
checked for your account and that "Receive mail items" is also checked.

It doesn't allow me to do that. It shows the hourglass then stops.

Another thing to try would be to delete the .srs file under \Documents and
Settings\<your login name>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. That
contains your send/receive settings, which might have become corrupted.

Okay, I tried to do that and I was not able to point to that file, I deleted
the outlook profile that was there, created a new one and I am still unable
to point to that file. But, when I started up Outlook I was able to send and
receive emails, but I couldn't access my old emails, calendar or contacts.
Thanks.

Click FIle>Open>Outlook Data File, browse to your old data file, select it,
and click OK.
