Good point, I actually forgot the VPN software. I have other than the
default Win XP SP2 firewall, the CheckPoint VPN client installed. It may be
the problem then.

With ActiveSync 4.1, the RNDIS driver only binds to the IPV4 and IPV6
protocols. I have seen where a VPN software will uncheck the TCP/IP check-
box, because its NDIS IM driver finds out that there exists a miniport
driver which does not bind to it but bypasses it
