Cant Connect to Exchange Server While Connected via USB?

Cant Connect to Exchange Server While Connected via USB?

Post by Scott Town » Fri, 15 Sep 2006 04:06:02

If I'm not connected via USB I can connect to Exchange Server with no
issues. Direct push and all.

If I connect up with the USB Cable I can no longer sync with the Exchange
Server. Gives a Cannot Connect Error.

I can Connect to Google and other places while connected via USB..

I've looked at the AS Settings on the PC and on the PPC of another guy's
setup and they are all set the same.

AS gives an error saying:
The Server could not be reached. This can ve caused by temporary network
conditions
Support Code: 85002003

What Gives?

Thanks,
Scott<-

I have the same problem.

My guess is to do with the authentication (RPC over HTTPS)

Cant Connect to Exchange Server While Connected via USB?

Seems like Mines is trying to use GPRS/Edge network while connected to the
USB instead of the local network.

We all know the issue with 'hearing' the data transfer when your phone is to
close to the computer speakers. When I try to Access the Web while
connected via USB I can hear the data being transferred.

If I go to Settings, Connections, Connections, Advanced Tab, Select Network,
and change the First Drop Down to My Work Network (from My ISP) I can
connect via USB with no issues.

Though the other guy here does not have to do anything.

Its like it does not know its connected locally and to use the My Work
Network Profile.

Cant Connect to Exchange Server While Connected via USB?

Hello Scott,

I also had this error and discovered, that desktop AS is aware of IE's proxy
setting so I had to clear the proxy setting in order to get AS connecting to
Exchange.

Bye,
Laszlo
