Hi,

I've the problem that when I try to sync my DELL AXIM with ActiceSnyc 3.8 I
get the following message :

Connected , Synchronisation error, disconnected but the PDA still shows de
CONNECTED status,


Any clue ?


I tried to turn off all Firewall, antivirus etc... and also tried on another
PC, always the same

I had that occasionally. But usually after a while (3-10 minutes) it
somewhen realizes, that there is no more device (probably some timeout
finally strikes). Occasionally it helps to kill and restart active-sync:

echo killing ActiveSync processes:
pskill -t "WCESMgr.exe"
pskill -t "WCESCOMM.EXE"
echo done killing ActiveSync processes...

rem starting ActiveSync process:
cd "C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync"
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\WCESMgr.exe"
echo done starting ActiveSync process

YMMV...

But the synchronisation still gives an error : Sychronsisation error.

It never syncs something, always an error :(

Hugo,

Did you try performing a soft reset? Additionally can you post the exact
error message you witness upon sync.

What Axim do you have, and what operating system is on it? Is it possible
to try a different PPC with that PC?
