License limits exceeded in Exchange POP3 Application!

License limits exceeded in Exchange POP3 Application!

Post by Susa » Wed, 10 Sep 2008 11:21:52

Dear all,

A few days ago, I have mentioned that my Exchange POP3 Application,
alert that license limits exceeded.

So, I decided to remove old users who do not work anymore from that
application. I have 50 license for 50 users, before I remove it there
are more than 50 but after there are only 44 users.

I do still wonder why that alert is still there on the application and
the new users, there are only 2 users that can not receive mail from
external.

Any ideas please help me with this?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks in advance.

Yours sincerely,

Susan

Are you running SBS? If so, then you should post your question to an SBS
newsgroup. Exchange has no such "POP3 Application" with specific licenses.

License limits exceeded in Exchange POP3 Application!

Post by Susa » Tue, 23 Sep 2008 16:30:52

Hi,

I have Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and exchage POP3 5.0 which are
installed on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition SP1.

I use exchange POP3 5.0 for receiving mail from external, and now its
license limits exceeded is alert on this application. So, I try to
deleted some old users from Internet Mail Accounts, Rules and IMail
Server for Windows NT (mail.vectivity.com). I do hope that, that
problem would be passed but actually not. Some users still can not
receive mail from outside (external) and that alert is still present.

Anyone has any idea? Could you please help me with this?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks in advance.

Yours sincerely,

Susan

What is this "exchange POP3 5.0"? No such component ships with Exchange
Server 2007.
