[MailServer Notification]System Events - Exchange Events - The mail store size exceeds

Post by acgrobinso » Sat, 04 Aug 2007 22:32:39

Please can someone help, I am running a cluster with 250gb of space
using Exchange 2003 SP2 ENTERPRISE, i have checked and the default max
size for enterprise for a mailbox store in enterprise is 8000gb, The
only place you can configure this is in the registry but it is not
there by default you have to add the dword value. (which I do not want
to do as the default should be 8000gb)

I have done an Exchange best practises health check and all was fine.
I have set up no notifications... and yet my exchange admin account is
being sent this email every hour by my own server.

WHY ?

You are crazy wanting a store 8 Tb in size.
Never let it grow bigger then 100 Gb per store!!!!!
If you have to run eseutil or isinteg you 're in big trouble....
The biggest store I have seen was 755 Gb en when it was corrupt the running
of eseutil took a long time ;-)
