2000 users can't email 2007 users after mailbox move

I am in the process of transistioning from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007.

Prior to the first mailbox move, I created a test user on the 2007 server
and verified that I could email back and forth between the two servers.

I then did a mailbox move on my first user. That user can send email to
users whose mailboxes still reside on the Exchange 2000 server. However,
those users cannot send email to the user that was moved. The emails bounce
with the fillowing error message:

" A configuration error in the e-mail system caused the message to bounce
between two servers or to be forwarded between two recipients. Contact
your administrator.
<bluexchange.magnificaths.org #5.4.8>"

The moved user can send and receive emails to the test user on the Exchange
2007 server since the test user never had a mailbox on the Exchange 2000
server.

I get no errors during the mailbox move and AD User & Computers shows the
mailbox in the correct location on the new Exchange server.

I can still see the moved mailbox in Exchange System Manager and never
having done this before, I don't know if that is normal or not.
