Can I mount exchange 2007 database in diferent exchange 2007 server

Hi,
In Exchange if I have the databases in one server, and that server dies, but
the file system is intact (*.edb, log files) would I be able to mount those
databases from another exchange server? Would the users know that their data
is now in another database?

if you have any article with information about it please sent me the link.

Thanks

Libet

Please don't multipost (crosspost instead if you must). See my reply in
microsoft.public.exchange.design.

Yes. Database portability was included in Exchange Server 2007. The users
should remain clueless. :)

well, they will probably remain clueless, but smarter users would be better
in general.

there are other steps to just mounting it - you have to update the AD props
for the users - there's powershell documented for it.
