Admin menus for non-english SPS2003 installations change to english

Post by agoodwi » Wed, 20 Sep 2006 21:56:45

There is an ongoing problem with SPS2003 whereby the Site Settings &
MySite menus as well as all administration menus under Site Settings
suddenly change to English for non-English installations.

Working mainly with non-english installations I've seen this on a
regular basis and this is apparently a known bug in SPS2003. A simple
work-around is available - recycle the SPS application pools in IIS
which fixes it for a short while.

It's been a while since I saw any info on the net about this issue and
was wondering is anyone has seen any updates or patches or fixes that
resolve this since neither WSS SP2 or SPS SP2 fix it.

If anyone has any info on this or links to KB articles then please
post. Thanks.

Great ! Thanks Jez,

Do you know if the .Net framework version 2 or 3 includes this hotfix?
it's a lot easier to get these updates than to contact MS Support for
the hotfix.
