Converting a single WSS site to a SPS site

Can a single WSS site be converted to a SPS site so that the client has
access to the more advanced search features of SPS? If yes, where can I go to
find out how to do this?

Thank you

You can "convert" a single WSS site to a WSS site *within* SPS.

So that is the way to go.

You can't convert a WSS site to an SPS site as such.

WSS sites are based on site definitions, and once created, you can't change
the site definition a site is based on. You can only modify it through styles
and themes.

Your best bet is to add the WSS site as a search content source for the
portal, move the WSS site under the portal, or recreate your content in the
portal and ditch WSS altogether.
