Creating Collections based on Local Machine Group Membership

Creating Collections based on Local Machine Group Membership

Can I create a collection based on membership on the Local Machine? Or even
better, based on non membership?

How about creating a collection based on membership in an ACL on the local
machine? How about a Registry Key ACL?

1. Collection membership based on AD group membership

2. Collection membership based on another collection membership?

Is it possible to base membership of a collection on membership of another
collection?

I got a group of servers that aren't supposed to be touched by any SMS
process. Unfortunately, there's nothing on those boxes that marks them from
ordinary servers, so I cannot use a query to select them.

I've created a collection that contains all of those machines based on
direct selection of their computer names.

Now I need to create another collection that contains all servers, except
the one in the first collection. Is it possible to do this somehow? I've
tried to refer to the collection name in a SQL query, but cannot get it to
work.

Or should I just throw all the special servers into a AD security group and
make the query based on that?

Cheers, Mads
