Same SMTP Domain on 2 Emailservers

Hi,
we have a little Problem here. Out Company A was merged with another
company B and now we have the same SMTP Domain on our Exchange and on
the Emailsystem from the other company.
Now we have the problem, when a employee from company A wants to write
an email to employee from company B (from our exchange system to their
email system). If that happens we get a message from our exchange
server that the account in this organisation is not available. We get
this message from our backend server. Here is the original message but
only in german:

Ihre Nachricht hat einige oder alle Empfger nicht erreicht.

Betreff:
Gesendet am: 10.10.2007 11:27

Folgende(r) Empfger kann/knen nicht erreicht werden:

XXXX@XXXXX.COM am 10.10.2007 11:27
Das E-Mail-Konto ist in der Organisation, an die diese
Nachricht gesendet wurde, nicht vorhanden. erpren Sie die E-Mail-
Adresse, oder setzen Sie sich direkt mit dem Empfger in Verbindung,
um die richtige E-Mail-Adresse herauszufinden.
<EXCHBV01.domain.local #5.1.1>

We have multible recipients policies with the same SMTP Domain, but in
all recipients policies we removed the checkbox that only this
exchange organisation handles this same SMTP Domain.

Any Ideas what could cause this problem?

Hi,

i don't really understand your topolgy, is both companies under the same
forest and same exchange org? diffrent sites? same e-mail domain? or each
company has i diffrent e-mail domain?
