OWA 2003

Post by amVmZ » Mon, 05 Jul 2004 10:02:02

Hello, I have a singloe domain controller. I am trying to access owa from inside or outside. It prompts me for the password, and it allows me to login, however when I login I can not see anything except x's and squares almost like the full webpage is not there. I can go to IIS and brows the exchange page and it shows up fine. I hav exchange 2003sp1 with the Gzip patch installed. I also installed the patch that specifically addressed display issues in OWA 2003. Help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I can access OWA on our internal LAN.

However when I try to access exchange through our firewall all the icons are
x'ed out and the contents frame, displays 'loading'.

I can authenticate to the server but then icons are x'ed out.

Does anyone know if there are additional ports that need to be opened?

I have read KB-259240 which suggest that there are registry entries that
need to be made to open additional ports but the article is for Exchange 5.5
not Exchange 2003.

Does anyone know of a document for setting up OWA 2003 through a firewall?

Kind Regards

Paul.

Paul < XXXX@XXXXX.COM > typed:

Allowing port 443 inbound / forwarded to the Exchange server's LAN IP is all
that's needed. What kind of firewall are you using?
http://www.yqcomputer.com/ , although it's
for E2k....

What SPs on Windows & Exchange?

Check out
http://www.yqcomputer.com/ ;en-us;280823 for a
start....there are also tons of google hits if you search.

Firewall

It's common for firewalls to block the WebDAV verbs sent by the client
when using the Premium UI. See if you can find WebDAV restrictions in
your firewall configuration.
