SQL Server does not exist error

SQL Server does not exist error

Post by SG9uZyBXYW » Fri, 14 Apr 2006 07:09:02

Hi,

I have a fail over SQL Server cluster, everything is working fine until this
morning, now all the sudden, I can not open up Enterprise Manager any more.
The error I get is 'SQL Server does not exist', But my client application is
running fine. It seems like only SQL Server Enterprise manager and Query
Analyzer are getting this error. When I open up Server Network Utility, it
said 'the sql server is a cluster resource, we can not connect to the cluster
at this moment...'. I don't know what happened. Please help me.

Thanks.

Make sure you are trying to connect on a protocol that the sql server is
actually using, and the correct parameters (like port, or pipe name)
