Move database from SQL 6.5 to SQL 7.0 server

Move database from SQL 6.5 to SQL 7.0 server

I'm a novice SQL admin and I've been given the job of moving a
database from a SQL 6.5 server to a SQL 7.0 server.

I need help making this work.

I created a new database on the 7.0 server then ran the DTS wizard. I
select the source 6.5 server and database, select the local server and
the new database I created, select all tables, and click Next. After
several minutes I get the following error:
Error Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers
Error Description: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL
Server]Invalid object name 'Prod.dbo.tp_4750_post_sess
Context: Error calling OpenRowset on the provider.

I assume it's telling me the table has an invalid name, but it's
copying an existing table, so I'm confused.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Steve

I didn't think it was possible to move a 6.5 db with DTS. This should get
you going in the right direction.
