Hello

We have been successful in installing a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server 2 node cluster and successfully installed SQL Server on Node A and the added Node B to the SQL Cluster. When we try to install another instance in Node B with an instance name(DB), the installation fails while trying to make the new SQLServer resource online with message nable to make resource online Disk resources are available and the installation was to a group owned by Node A.

When we installed on the Node A, a similar error occurred and solved by shutting down unnecessary windows services and making MS DTC Services offline.

The error occurred when the setup tries to make SQLSever resource for the instance online.

I had found out the error. As i was installing the SQL 2K with out service packs in Windows 2003 Server, v need to configure the named pipes alias first using cliconfg.exe. Please refer KB article 815431 for more information.
