SQL Server 2005 standard edition vs SQL Server 2005 express

Post by UGV0ZX » Sun, 05 Mar 2006 04:16:27

Since SQL Server 2005 express have removed the limitation of concurrent
batches (governor). Should I get the same performance between SQL Server
2005 standard edition and SQL Server 2005 express when there are multiple
batches running? Are the default settings (anything that affect performance)
same for both editions? If not, what settings I need to configure to make
them the same?

Thanks.

There are still other limitations such as the amount of memory it can use or
the number of processors.

I am not sure what you mean but express does not come with SSIS. See here:
